Although he started his career at 'At The Villa' as the housedecorator at the age of 17 years, he soon took place behind the decks of the legendary club. At the late 80's the beginning of the 90's, At The Villa started their famous 'afters', were Johan and Phi Phi were playing nonstop from 7am till 6pm!
After the tragic fire of the club in May '94, Johan was weekly guest in the major Belgian clubs such like Cirao, La Rocca, Café d'Anvers, Boccaccio as well in foreign club such as Pacha and Space in Ibiza, Ministry of sound in London sharing the turntables with Laurent Garnier, David Guetta, Martin Solveig, Sneak and many more...
Later on, as a loyal soldier he followed Laurence as a resident dj at the Holy Ghost, At The Villa in Kobbegem and Brussels and finally H2O in Pecq were he was resident for 15 years!
